“Death Rolls of the EU” – I originally wrote this as a development of a provocative answer in response to the question commented on here which I thought was an excellent answer to a very contemporary question for Europe, Is the EU the Fourth German Reich? France had been gripped with riots, for reasons related to the fundamental dysfunction that the British people had intuited in voting for BREXIT contrary to the stated position of their own government, and in the wake of the UK voting to leave the EU, it looked like an existential crisis was looming for the EU. This was a political commentary on the post war adoption by the institutions that became the EU as the friendly face ofthe same National Socialism that they had once united against. We are still fighting that battle which has been shrouded in secrecy since COVID broke.
