This site provides HTML versions of my work wherever possible for scholars who need to use my work for academic purposes, as I have used other people’s work. I have always found that attempting to copy from Kindles and PDF can have publisher imposed limits, be awkward in requiring you to go to the third party Kindle Highlights/Notes site and even then, formatting is often lost, extra unwanted text gets tagged on and the like, so this is provided to aid us all in our research.

The vast majority of the work on here is provided FREE OF CHARGE but requires you provide attribution in line with normal academic conventions where necessary or applicable. However, if the work provided here is the full publication version of a published text, it will be protected by author and publisher copyright as outlined in any notice provided with the particular publication. Normally, there is still a “fair use” clause that allows scholars to quote and review such works, so I provide this service free of charge to support further research.

As a matter of ethics, I assume you have purchased a legitimate copy if a publication before doing mass copying, or have at least donated to support the site (there is an obtrusive Donate button in the footer of each page). I use VPS hosting that costs around £30 per month to ensure the site is fully under my control, so you are welcome to partner with me in this. If you are a student and cannot afford to purchase a copy of a publication but would like to own one, I can provide a copy at the cost of a Kindle version (which are generally really good value), or you can donate here and use the site version with a clear conscience!
