There are many, many individuals to whom I have already given thanks in my PhD thesis upon which this book was based so I will not repeat that here but will single out Professor Felix Ó Murchadha of Ollscoil na Gaillimhe whose searching criticism of the original draft of made this a far better piece of work.  A special thanks also to Dr David Sullivan (ret.) of Bangor University, North Wales, who was a masterful philosophical mentor during my Master’s level coursework.  Thanks should also go to eminent Van Tillians Prof. Scott Oliphint and Dr James Anderton for their assistance and willingness to help me advance the project; as all of us are interested in authentic Christian philosophy, this input was invaluable.  Thanks also to all at Wipf & Stock publishers for help in bringing this book to life.

Finally, my greatest debt will always be to my Lord and Savior, you have the unique epistemological quality that the more one knows You, the more one realizes that they do not know You as they should; and how much more you need to know that which one does not know: “If anyone supposes that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know; but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him”. (1 Co 8:2).
